Blackout Cancer Airstrike Night

Airstrike Trampoline Park
Join the brothers of the Delta Chi Fraternity as they have their blackout cancer night at Airstrike Trampoline Park for a black light laser philanthropy night! 20% of all tickets sales go to benefit the “Jimmy V Foundation.”

4th Annual Pink Friday Breast Cancer Awareness Event
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Liberty Park Community Center – Grovetown
Join Zeta Tau Alpha and the City of Grovetown to promote breast cancer awareness, support survivors, and raise money for the Nation Breast Cancer Foundation. There will be a Color Me Pink Fun Run for all who wish to participate, information, a raffle, inflatables, games, food, and craft vendors

Jaguar Jaunt
8:00 AM (Registration at 7:00 AM)
Maxwell House, Summerville Campus
The Student Wellness Council will be participating in the Jaguar Jaunt 5k and are accepting participants to join our team. Early registration can be done by going to http://giving.gru.edu, and it is $15 for everyone. You will receive a free pedometer, a T-shirt, and a sports bag for participating.

Salsa Night
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
JSAC Ballroom, Summerville Campus
Sarah Carter, the President of Alpha Mu Gamma, and Santrena Hammonds, a local dance friend, will be the instructor for a brief 30 to 45 minute Salsa lesson. Come out for a fun night to learn some new dance moves!

The Iota Phi Chapter of Alpha Mu Gamma will be hosting its first event of the semester. Ms. Yvette Pegues (MS. Wheelchair USA 2014-2015) will be sharing her inspirational life story. Asma Daoudi, honors senior at GRU, will speak on Arabic culture and language if Ms. Pegues is forced to cancel.

Stomp Out Sickle Cell Walk
Registration begins at 8:00 AM
GRU Sickle Cell Programs Present: Stomp Out Sickle Cell 5K Run/Walk to raise awareness for Sickle Cell Disease. Registration is now open in the lobby of the Children’s Hospital of Georgia, 1446 Harper St, Augusta. Entry fees are $25 until September 4th. $30 after that. $5 for children, and $10 for Sickle Cell Patients.
