Nominations for the Smooth Sailing Awards for student organizations, members, advisers, faculty/staff members will close on Monday, March 30 at 5:00 pm. The announcement of the awards will be shared on Thursday, April 16 at the annual banquet hosted by Student Life & Engagement with a Mix & Mingle at 6:00 pm and award presentations beginning at 6:30 pm.

RyuTe Karate Classes at GRU Wellness Center
Do you want to make a change in your daily life and make healthier choices for 2015? Would you like to increase your self-confidence and learn how to defend yourself? Do you want to be motivated to achieve the goals you have set in life? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then the GRU Karate Club is where you need to be. The GRU Karate Club offers an exciting, traditional Okinawan RyuTe karate curriculum designed to offer the best available self defense training at GRU, along with a fun and stimulating workout. If you are interested in getting started as a beginner or in continuing your advanced martial arts training, stop by any Wednesday at 3:00 PM at the studio room in the GRU Wellness Center on the Health Sciences campus. Training is led by Dr. Mitchell Watsky, 7th degree black belt in RyuTe and Karate Club faculty advisor, who has more than 30 years experience as a RyuTe instructor.
