Meet CMN Miracle Kid Reese Smith

We’ll be celebrating a year of fundraising for the Children’s Hospital of Georgia on Sunday, June 1, during a live broadcast from the CHOG lobby on WRDW-TV News 12. This week, Ch. 12, our Children’s Miracle Network television partner, will take us inside the amazing stories of six children whose lives have been changed by care at CHOG during the 29th annual CMN Celebration.

Reese Smith sees several specialists at Children’s Hospital of Georgia, and one of his favorites is Dr. Charles Howell. In fact, Reese says he wants to be Dr. Howell when he grows up. This inspirational little guy has fought multiple birth defects, including kidney failure. His mom donated her kidney to him last year, and he is on the road to recovery and being the everday kid who watchers “Bubble Guppies” and “Jake and the Neverland Pirates” on TV.

Watch his amazing story of overcoming remarkable odds.

And don’t forget to tune in to WRDW-TV News 12 tonight at 6 p.m. to see how deep brain stimulation enabled a boy with dystonia to walk again.
