Employee Engagement Survey for university employees launches today

Phase II of the Employee Engagement Survey launches today, and it’s time to share your perspective and ideas about what Georgia Regents University can do to sustain a positive, productive, inclusive, and effective work environment. All Georgia Regents University faculty, staff, physicians, and selected Shared Services (Internal Audit, Institutional Effectiveness, Government Relations, Office of Diversity and Inclusion) are encouraged to take part and contribute their views. The survey will close Friday, May 2.

This survey provides employees with the opportunity to give feedback on the work environment, management, leadership, and organization effectiveness. This survey is being conducted by a national firm specializing in employee surveys, which will allow us to compare our results with a national broader database of respondents.

Pledge of Confidentiality

Press Ganey assures you of confidentiality. Your individual responses will never be identified or revealed. Responses and comments are submitted directly to Press Ganey and will be combined with other responses before being shared.  No individual is ever identified in any way.

Passwords

Passwords will be used to access the online survey. Passwords are your full last name + last 5 digits of your Social Security number. The advantages of this approach simplify the process and make it easier to quickly log in, prevent multiple submissions, and increases accuracy and data integrity because it ensures respondents are directed to the correct work unit.

Access to Survey Link

How Will the Responses Make a Difference?

Going forward, we encourage work units to use their survey results in conjunction with other units to help drive performance, foster cross-departmental teamwork, and enhance our overall work environment. Phase I (conducted last November for the Georgia Regents Health System and selected shared services) of the engagement survey results are currently being reviewed by each of the work unit managers to examine issues relative to our business challenges and strategic priorities. Your input will go a long way toward helping Georgia Regents University and Health System in our efforts at continuous improvement.

Incentives for Participation

Our goal is for every department to reach 75 percent participation. There will be random drawings conducted by Press Ganey throughout the survey administration period. All employees who complete their Engagement Survey are eligible. Complete your survey early in order to be eligible to win a prize drawing on more days. Prizes will be awarded twice a week throughout the survey period.

More information will be provided about incentives for departments that reach 100 percent participation by Friday, May 2.

Survey Champions

Survey Champions are advocates and champions of the survey who are available to answer your questions. Look for them wearing an “ASK ME!” button. They are available to answer your questions about the survey process and discuss any concerns. You can find their names on the survey website link.  They are also available to discuss the survey at a team meeting.
