1 in 8 Breast Cancer Concert
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
D. Douglas Barnard Jr. Amphitheater, Summerville Campus
1 in 8 women in the U.S. will get breast cancer in their lifetime. Join local musicians at the 1 in 8 Breast Cancer Benefit Concert to raise awareness about the disease and to honor Breast Cancer survivors. Performers include: The John Dunn band, Nefertiti, Word Up, and Custer’s Last Band. Proceeds benefit the GRU Breast Cancer Program and the Breast Cancer Support Group.

Raise the Banned: Banned Books Awareness

Across the United States, many of our favorites books were challenged, with the intent to remove them from libraries. The University Libraries, Reese Library will host a display featuring banned books plus games and sidewalk chalking. If you value intellectual freedom, come Raise the Banned.

Please join the Office of Advancement for Major Fest. This event is a great opportunity for students to learn more about possible majors. All academic departments will have representatives available to answer student questions. Department representatives will be on hand to assist students. There will be a raffle, numerous door prizes, and refreshments.
