Announcing GRU’s new clinical research data management system, OnCore®

We are pleased to announce the upcoming implementation of GRU’s clinical research management system (CRMS), On-line Collaborative Research Environment (OnCore).  The OnCore platform is the flagship product from Forte Research Systems Inc., a software development company specializing in clinical and translational research informatics for midsize to large organizations. As the nation’s most widely adopted clinical research platform among academic research organizations and cancer centers, OnCore is the result of over a decade of experience working closely with large research organizations, including many world-class NCI-designated cancer centers and institutes funded by the National Institutes of Health’s Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) program.

OnCore will be the enterprise-hosted CRMS and support a broad range of clinical research, from the Division of Clinical and Translational Sciences research units to cardiology, oncology, public health, pediatric medicine, and other enterprise health-research programs.

OnCore is a web-based application that has the ability to manage all components of a clinical trial from a central location and can be accessed by the research team anywhere Internet access is available. The system will reduce duplication of effort, provide user-friendly financial and administrative reports, offer better support for meeting regulatory requirements, and reduce overall costs associated with managing clinical research for all those conducting and supporting health research across the enterprise.

OnCore rollout will take place by study sections, departments, and groups over the next several months, governed by the OnCore Project Leadership Committee and chaired by Drs. Michael Diamond and Michael Benedict. The first group of users are the Cancer Center, Sickle Cell Center, and the Clinical Trials Office.

Questions about OnCore should be directed to the OnCore Staff at 706-721-5476.  For more information, visit
